Come enjoy quiet seclusion on a 210 acre farm located 5 miles from Winterplace ski resort and Weathered Grounds Brewery in Ghent WV! Self check-in on a private half mile long road. Feed the fish with two ponds full of blue gill, coy, bass and catfish. Hike or mountain bike on logging trails throughout the property while stopping to pick blackberries or apples. Then come drink hot chocolate next to the fireplace, or have a glass of wine while watching the sunset on the covered porch! The space is the entire 3 bedroom cottage. This cottage house sleeps 8 people comfortably. There is also a friendly German Shepherd at our home on the property who might pay a visit and accompany you on a hike. Guests have access to the cottage house and acreage around that home outdoor fire ring with firewood available, as well as charcoal grill and miles of trails. Two ponds on the property for feeding fish and catch and release fishing. Apple picking during Sept and October with two apple trees in the yard, and numerous trees on the property! Hosts live in separate residence on property. Odd WV is a rural town, off of the Ghent exit, between Beckley and Princeton WV. This secluded farm property is 25 mins from Beckley and Princeton, and 40 mins from Fayetteville. Fayetteville is the home of white water rafting, rock climbing, Outdoor Mountain Music Festivals, as well as, many local farm to table restaurants, independent coffee shops and breweries . Our farm is also a hour from Summersville, Lewisburg and White Sulfur Springs, home of the Greenbriar. It is also 1 hour from Blacksburg VA. On the property mountain biking and hiking are good options for exploring. Miles of old logging trails are available for this. From the months of Oct- March 4 wheel drive or AWD vehicles are necessary for accessing the property due to the large amount of snow that falls here. Entire 210 acres are mostly fenced in, so miles of hiking and you will not go off of the farm unless you cross over a fence line (old fencing may be down in places)
